50th Anniversary
While enjoying an early morning breakfast in a northern Arizona cafe, four elderly ranchers were discussing everything from cattle, horses, and weather to how things used to be in the "good old days." Eventually the conversation moved on to their spouses. One gentleman turned to the fellow on his right and asked, "Roy, aren't you and your bride celebrating your 50th wedding anniversary soon?"
"Yup, we sure are," Roy replied.
"Well, are you gonna do anything special to celebrate?" another man asked.
The old gentleman pondered this for a moment, then replied, "For our 25th anniversary, I took the missus to Tucson. For our 50th, I'm thinking about going down there again to pick her up."
結婚50周年
アリゾナの北部で4人の老人が朝早くに朝食を取っていて、会話は牛や馬や天気、それからいかに「昔は良かったか」という事に及んだ。そしてじきに会話は彼らの奥方の話になった。一人の老人が右に座っている友人に向かってこう質問する。「ロイ、お前の所はもうじき結婚50周年なんじゃないのか？」「おう。確かにそうだ。」とロイが答える。
「それで、なんか特別なことをしてお祝いでもするのか？」ともう一人の老人が質問する。
ロイはしばらくこのことについて考えるが、答える。「25周年記念にはうちのをツーソンに連れてったんだ。50周年にはまたツーソンに行ってうちのを連れて帰って来ようかと思ってるんだ。」
