Airline Attendants
All too rarely, airline attendants make an effort to make the in-flight "safety lecture" and their other announcements a bit more entertaining. Here are some real examples that have been heard or reported:
******On a Continental Flight with a very "senior" flight attendant crew, the pilot said, "Ladies and gentlemen, we've reached cruising altitude and will be turning down the cabin lights. This is for your comfort and to enhance the appearance of your flight attendants."

On landing the stewardess said, "Please be sure to take all you belongings. If you're going to leave anything, please make sure it's something we'd like to have."
******
In the event of a sudden loss of cabin pressure, masks will descend from the ceiling. Stop screaming, grab the mask, and pull it over your face. If you have a small child traveling with you, secure your mask before assisting with theirs. If you are traveling with more than one small child... pick your favorite.

And from the pilot during his welcome message: "Delta Airlines is pleased to have some of the best flight attendants in the industry. Unfortunately, none of them are on this flight!"

Another flight attendant's comment on a less than perfect landing: "We ask you to please remain seated as Captain Kangaroo bounces us to the terminal."

Part of a flight attendant's arrival announcement: "We'd like to thank you folks for flying with us today. And, the next time you get the insane urge to go blasting through the skies in a pressurized metal tube, we hope you'll think of US Airways."
キャビンアテンダント
キャビンアテンダントによる安全確認の機内放送はごくたまに笑わせてくれるものがあります。ここに紹介するのは実際に私が聞いたもの、もしくは報告を受けた例です。******
コンチネンタル航空のあるフライトでは「ベテラン」のキャビンアテンダント揃いだった。機長のアナウンスが入る。「お客様にお知らせします。当機は安定した飛行高度に達しましたので、キャビン内の明かりを暗くさせて頂きます。これはお客様に快適に過ごして頂くためと、キャビンアテンダントの見栄えを良くするためでございます。」

着陸の際のキャビンアテンダントの機内放送：「お忘れ物のございませんようご注意ください。もし何かをお忘れになる場合は、我々キャビンアテンダントが欲しいと思う物をお忘れになるよう、ご確認下さいませ。」

機内の気圧が下がりますと、酸素マスクが天井から降りて参ります。叫ぶのをおやめになって、酸素マスクを掴み、素早くご自分に装着してください。小さいお子様がいらっしゃる場合は、お子様の装着を手伝う前にご自分の装着をしてください。もし小さなお子様がお一人様以上いらっしゃる場合は、、、お好きな方のお子様をお選びください。

機長の歓迎放送：「デルタ航空にはこの業界で一番優秀なキャビンアテンダントがおります。残念ながらこの飛行機には搭乗しておりませんけど！」

あまり素晴らしくない着陸の後のキャビンアテンダントの放送：「カンガルー機長がターミナルまで跳びながらお連れいたします間、しばらく着席されたままでお待ちください。」

キャビンアテンダントによる着陸時の放送の一部：「本日のご搭乗誠にありがとうござました。鉄の塊で空をかっとぼうという気違いじみた衝動にかられる事がまたございましたら、ぜひUSエアウェイ航空のご利用をお待ちしております。」
