Fourth Doctor Needed
A well-respected surgeon was relaxing on his sofa one evening just after arriving home from work. As he was tuning into the evening news, the phone rang. The doctor calmly answered it and heard the familiar voice of a colleague on the other end of the line.
"We need a fourth for poker," said the friend."I'll be right over," whispered the doctor.
As he was putting on his coat, his wife asked, "Is it serious?"
"Oh yes, quite serious," said the doctor gravely. "In fact, three doctors are there already!"
4人目の医師が必要
仕事から帰宅したばかりのある有名な外科医は、ソファでくつろいでいた。夜のニュースをテレビで見ていると、突然電話が鳴る。その医師が受話器を取ると、聞き慣れた同僚の声が聞こえてくる。「ポーカーやるんだが4人目が必要なんだ。」と友人である同僚が言う。
「すぐに向かいます。」と医師は小声で言う。
医師がコートを着て準備をしていると、妻が質問する。「深刻な問題なの？」
医師は悲しそうにこう答える。「ああ、かなり深刻だ。既に3人の医師が現場に行ってるくらいにね！」
