A drunk's confession
A drunk was staggering down the main street of town. Somehow he managed to make it up the stairs to the cathedral and into the building, where he crashed from pew to pew. He finally making his way to a side aisle and into a confessional.A priest had been observing the man's sorry progress and figuring the fellow was in need of some assistance, proceeded to enter his side of the confessional. But, his attention was rewarded only by a lengthy silence.
Finally he asked, "May I help you, my son?"
"I dunno." came the drunk's voice from behind the partition.
"You got any toilet paper on your side?"
酔っ払いの懺悔
一人の酔っ払いが町のメインストリートをふらつきながら歩いている。彼はどうにかして、大聖堂の階段をあちこちぶつかりながらも登る。 そして彼は最終的に横の廊下を通って懺悔の部屋へと入る。一人の牧師が彼の悲しそうな足取りを見ていて、彼を助けてやらないとと感じ、懺悔の部屋の牧師側に入っていく。しかし、彼の助けてやろうとした意志は沈黙のままほおっておかれた。
ついに牧師は口を開く、「息子よ（牧師が一般の人に話しかける言い方）、何か助けが必要なのか？」
「どうかな。」酔っ払いの声が仕切りの向こうからする。
「そっち側には、トイレットペーパーは置いてあるか？」
