Bush Plays God
A little boy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened.
Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100. When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, USA, they decided to send it to President Bush.
The President was so impressed, touched, and amused by the letter that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.
President Bush thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.
The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 and sat down to write a thank you note to God, which read:
Dear God,
Thank you very much for sending the money, however, I noticed that for some reason you had to send it through Washington D.C. and, as usual, those crooks deducted $95.00.
ブッシュが神様
ある少年はどうしても100ドル欲しかったため、神様に2週間お祈りをしたが、何も起こらなかった。そしてその少年は神様に100ドルください、という手紙を書くことにした。その手紙のあて先は「神様、アメリカ」となっていたが、郵便局の人は代わりにブッシュ大統領の所に手紙を送ることにした。
大統領はこの手紙に感銘を受け、感動し、また楽しく思って側近に5ドルをこの少年へ送るよう命令する。
ブッシュ大統領はこの金額が少年には大金に見えるに違いないと思ったのだ。
この少年は5ドルを受け取りとても喜んだ。そして机に座り神様にお礼の手紙を書き始める。その手紙はこんな風に始まっていた：
神様へ、
お金を送ってくださってどうもありがとうございました。だけど、なぜだか神様はワシントンD.C.を通じて送ってくれましたね。いつも通りあの詐欺師どもは95ドルを差し引いて送ってきました。
