Earring
One of my co-workers has started wearing an earring. I wouldn't think twice about this normally, but this a conservative guy, so I've been curious about his sudden change in "fashion sense."
As we were coming in this morning, I said "I didn't know you were into earrings."
"Don't make such a big deal, it's only an earring," he replied.
"So, really?" I persisted. "How long have you been wearing one?"
"Ever since my wife found it in our bed," he replied sheepishly.
イヤリング
僕の同僚がイヤリングを着け始めたんです。普通だったら気にも留めないのですが、こいつはお堅い奴なんですよ。それでなぜ彼のファッションセンスが急に変わったのか興味を持ったんです。今朝会社に出勤する途中で会い、言ってみました。「君がイヤリングなんかするとは思いもしなかったよ。」
「ただのイヤリングじゃないか。 あんまり大げさに言わないでくれよ。」と同僚は言いました。
「へえ、そうなんだ？どんくらい前から着け始めてるんだい？」とちょっとしつこく聞いてみました。
「ベッドでうちの妻が見つけてからなんだ。」と恥ずかしそうに言ってました。
