I Know the Whole Truth
At school Little Johnny was told by a classmate that most adults are hiding at least one dark secret, and that this makes it very easy to blackmail them by saying, "I know the whole truth."
Little Johnny decides to go home and try it out. He goes home, and as he is greeted by his mother he says, "I know the whole truth." His mother quickly hands him $20 and says, "Just don't tell your father."
Quite pleased, the boy waits for his father to get home from work, and greets him with, "I know the whole truth." The father promptly hands him $40 and says, "Please don't say a word to your mother."
Very pleased, the boy is on his way to school the next day when he sees the mailman at his front door. The boy greets him by saying, "I know the whole truth."
The mailman immediately drops the mail, opens his arms, and says, "Then come give your real father a big hug."
僕本当の事を知っているよ
学校でリトルジョニーは友達に大人は何でも一つくらいは人に言えない隠し事があるから、「僕本当のことを知っているよ。」と言えば簡単にお金をゆすり取れるという事を聞く。リトルジョニーはうちに帰ると早速試してみることにする。家に帰ると、お母さんが居たので言ってみる。「僕本当のことを知っているよ。」するとお母さんは20ドルを素早く取り出すと言う。「お父さんには言っちゃだめよ。」
うまく行ったことを喜び、ジョニーはお父さんが仕事から帰ってくるのを待ち、お出迎えをしながらこう言う。「僕本当の事を知っているよ。」お父さんは急いで40ドルをジョニーに渡すと言う。「お願いだから母さんには言うなよ。」
とても喜び、ジョニーは次の日の朝学校に行く途中で郵便のおじさんが玄関の所に居るのを見つけた。ジョニーは郵便のおじさんへの挨拶代わりに言う。「僕本当のことを知っているよ。」
郵便のおじさんは手紙を下に落とすと、両手を広げ、こう言う。「それならこっちへ来て本当のお父さんをぎゅっと抱きしめておくれ。」
