Life in the Slow Lane
A sloth named Herman is walking through the forest one day. A gang of snails approach him and beat him up. He is left at the bottom of a tree with several cuts and bruises.Several hours later he gathers up enough strength to go to a local police station. Herman walks into the Sergeant's office. "What happened to you?" the officer asks.
"A gang of snails beat me up," Herman replied.
"Can you describe what they looked like?"
"I don't know," the sloth says. "It all happened so fast."
登坂車線の人生
ナマケモノのハーマンがある日森の中を歩いていた。かたつむりの集団が彼に近寄ると彼のことを痛めつけていった。彼は木の根元で擦り傷やあざを作り残される。数時間後、彼は近所の交番へと向かう勇気が出てきた。ハーマンは交番に歩いて入って行く。「何が起こったんだい？」と警官が質問する。
「かたつむりの集団がおれのことを痛めつけたんだ、」とハーマンは答える。
「そいつらがどんな風貌をしていたか説明してくれるかい？」
「分からないな、」とナマケモノは答える、「突然の事で速くて何がなんだかさっぱり。」
