The Haircut
A man and a little boy entered a barbershop together. After the man received the full treatment: shave, shampoo, manicure and haircut, he placed the boy in the chair. Then he said, "I'm going to buy a green tie to wear for the parade. I'll be back in a few minutes."
When the boy's haircut was completed and the man still hadn't returned, the barber said, "Looks like your daddy's forgotten all about you.""That wasn't my daddy," said the boy. "He just walked up, took me by the hand and said, 'Come on, son, we're gonna get a free haircut'."
散髪
ある男性と小さな少年が床屋に一緒に入っていった。男性は髭剃り、シャンプー、爪切り、そして散髪をすべて終わらせ、少年を抱えあげると、散髪の椅子に座らせた。男性はそしてこう言う。「パレードで着ける緑色のネクタイを買ってくるよ。すぐ戻ってくるからね。」少年の散髪が終わるが、男性はまだ戻ってこないので、床屋の店主がこう少年に向かって言う。「君の父さんは君の事をすっかり忘れてしまったようだね。」
すると少年はこう答える。「あれは僕の父さんじゃないよ。道を歩いていたら、いきなり僕の手を掴んでこう言ったんだ。『おい、君、一緒にただで髪を切ってもらいに行こう。』」
