Will You Marry Me?
An elderly widow and widower were dating for about five years. The man finally decided to ask her to marry. She immediately said "yes".
The next morning when he awoke, he couldn't remember what her answer was! "Was she happy? I think so, wait, no, she looked at me funny..."
After about an hour of trying to remember to no avail, he got on the telephone and gave her a call. Embarrassed, he admitted that he didn't remember her answer to the marriage proposal.
"Oh", she said, "I'm so glad you called. I remembered saying 'yes' to someone, but I couldn't remember who it was."
結婚してくれる？
ある老人のカップルは5年間の付き合いをしていた。年老いた男は女性についに結婚を申し込むことにした。女性はすぐさま「はい。」と言ってくれた。次の日の朝、老人が起きると、昨日の答えがどうだったか忘れてしまった！「彼女は幸せそうだったか？多分そうだ。待てよ、違う、なんか変な顔をして僕を見ていた．．．」
一時間ほど悩んだが答えは分からず、老人は電話を取ると彼女に電話をかける。恥ずかしがりながら、彼は彼女が結婚の申し込みになんと答えたか忘れてしまった事を告白する。
彼女は言う。「あら、電話してくれて本当に良かったわ。誰かに「はい。」と言った覚えはあったんだけど、誰に言ったのだか忘れてしまってたの。」
